International Women’s Day & Women 4 Tech
Today is International Women’s Day 2k17. The theme for this year is #BEBOLDFORCHANGE. So far according to the Official IWD website, the stats show that 14,685 people have signed up – let’s get those numbers way up! The main idea of this global campaign is to “help forge a better working world” that is “a more inclusive, gender equal world.” While browsing on the International Women’s Day website (link found below), I saw some interesting information. February is my least favorite month of the year. Back in Canada, it’s the coldest month. February is also the month that I loose all motivation for school, exercise, eating healthy, and working hard. I don’t have any explanations for this. All I know is that in February I am sluggish. This is a bad time for this to happen because it is midterm season. The time when I need to be the most productive; but, I’m not. February is also the month when I become an unorganized mess – for me; this is a catastrophe. We already told you that in 2017 virtual reality is going to be on of the biggest trends, and will skyrocket in use. To see where we are now with VR, we should look at where we started off. I was at a Facebook 360 presentation the other day, and in it, they said: “virtual reality is a trial and error process, you try it out, it doesn’t work, you start over again.” Before I go any further, I guess I should explain what Virtual Reality (VR) is.
