  • Digital Solutions Demo Day

    Young, international entrepreneurs from Barcelona Technology School will present their innovative digital solutions at the Mobile World Centre. Their projects aim to show how digital technologies can effectively transform economies. Learn about Drinkee, which connects small shops through an online marketplace and allows customers to purchase drinks at any time of the day, or Kitches, which was designed for people wanting home-cooked dinners but lack the time or skills to make them, they can then be connected to a chef via the online platform. There will be various presentations addressing different sectors and economies throughout the day.

    The event is free of charge.


  • PRIDE Barcelona
    All day

    Pride week is celebrated all over the world, but PRIDE Barcelona has a flair of its own. In its 10th year, PRIDE Barcelona 2017 kicks off on June 28th in Plaça Universitat, when the festival’s activities will be announced in detail. On July 7th and 8th, head to Moll de la Fusta where PRIDE’s main stage and village will be set up. The whole family is invited to attend workshops, lectures and the drag queen show. The Pride Parade will take place on the 8th. Starting in Plaça Espanya, people from all over the world will march alongside floats and performers in a sea of rainbow colours, down Avinguda del Paral•lel to the pier at Moll de la Fusta, as part of one of the largest LGBTI festivals in the Mediterranean.

  • Ultimate Wordpress Day

    Discover tips and tools for creating a successful WordPress website with the Barcelona Code School’s latest workshop. The course takes you from beginner to professional in just two days, allowing you to start building websites straight away without needing to code. Students can learn about installation and setting up of WordPress, creating categories and tags, building structure, selecting themes and plugins, connecting to Google Analytics, SEO for WordPress and much more. It also features useful tools for converting WordPress websites into professional online stores using WooCommerce plugins, making the workshop educational and beneficial for entrepreneurs.

    Overall, the workshop not only aims to build your knowledge of WordPress, but to make your website stand out from others. Groups are limited to four students, allowing for tailored and fast learning.

  • SmarTEQ: Empower People, Multiply Results
    All day

    The first masterclass for technology, data and team management leadership provides tips and tools for improving human capitals within companies. The event includes a series of conferences from experts in the field of People Management, discussing motivational leadership, Smart People Management, and managerial trends. Guest speakers include Jaume Gurt, former CEO of Infojobs, Mangel Giraldo, Director of Aigües de Barcelona, David Claramunt, Communications Manager of SABIS (Banc Sabadell Group) and more. The conferences are followed by a brunch.

  • Learn to Code your First Website From 0-100%
    All day

    Get your feet wet this summer in Barcelona, with our Create Your First Website program. One week, part time to build your first site and learn the fundamentals of coding. Fun, motivational and useful!This introduction to coding will allow each student to build their very first website and get to grips with how real developers operate on a day to day basis. This course is split into five, four-hour mornings of task-based challenges. Each challenge will be overseen by industry-experienced mentors, so should you get stuck, they can help you out.

  • Workshop: Intro to Data Analytics

    Get your feet wet this summer in Barcelona, with our Intro to our Data Analytics program. One week, part time to learn the fundamentals of data analytics. Fun, motivational and useful!This introduction to data analytics will allow each student to explore business data using Machine Learning algorithms and get to grips with how real data analysts operate on a day to day basis. This course is split into five, four-hour mornings of task-based challenges. Each challenge will be overseen by industry-experienced mentors, so should you get stuck, they can help you out.This program is suitable for people interested in picking up data analytics as a profession, and who are curious to know what types of tasks are involved. The course aimed at absolute beginners who are interested in a more immersive approach to improving their current skills.
    We’ll celebrate at the end, demonstrating your work over some beers and buffet! We’ll also have some fun talks and discussions from people involved in the Barcelona Tech scene.

  • Welcome to the Alpha Zone

    Each month, Born Chiropractor hosts Intuitive Channeler, Gina Fegali, who will be providing introductory sessions of Alpha Meditation. Alpha Meditation focuses on increasing alpha brain waves, which are enhanced naturally when you close your eyes, daydream or are in a relaxed state. These brainwaves are the first stage of bridging the gap between the subconscious and conscious mind, leading to deeper levels of healing, happiness, creativity, success and improved health. Alpha brainwaves have been known to inspire, through interacting with the subconscious and locating sudden insights and inner creativity.   • Vecinos at Versus Theatre
    All day

    Don’t miss the Madrid Dance Company as they bring their artistic flair to Barcelona. Combining contemporary dance, poetry and video material with flamenco and a touch of the classical, this musical performance is based on the theme of getting to know your neighbours and the invisible boundaries that exist between people and their connectivity. The production is the brainchild of Carlos Chamorro and Mariana Collado, and will be put on at the Versus Theatre, a venue which prides itself on showcasing original performances often with up-and-coming directors and producers.

  • Extreme Sailing Series
    All day

    For the first time, Barcelona will host the Extreme Sailing Series, otherwise referred to as the ‘Formula 1 of Sailing’. The series will be the 11th edition of the competition, which travels across multiple cities each year and draws in the best sailors from around the world. For four days, Flying Phantoms will race along Barcelona’s coast at 10am, followed by GC32s from 2pm until 7pm, as the city is filled with various sailing activities open to all. There is also the chance to soak up the atmosphere whilst mingling with prominent sailors of the Extreme Club or sailing aboard a flying GC32 with the variety of VIP packages available for sailing enthusiasts.

  • La Mesa Naranja

    Every Tuesday, from 2pm to 3.30pm, like-minded Dutch and local entrepreneurs in Barcelona can head to Maestró, Rambla de Catalunya 79, for the Mesa Naranja.

    This networking lunch is organised by the Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Barcelona, a governmental office that supports Dutch businesses and entrepreneurs in Catalonia & Aragon, and Spain in general. The idea is to create an accessible, informal and effective way of exchanging contacts and ideas for enterprising Netherlands in Barcelona.

    By creating a space for values-driven professionals with specific skills to offer or projects to share, we can easily connect with potential collaborators and be inspired by multidisciplinary perspectives.

    Each meetup will have a maximum of 10 participants, to avoid the dreaded game of chance. We will begin each event with a brief explanation of our needs, skills or project, and allow things to evolve from there.

  • Classical Music at MEAM
    All day

    The works of classical masters, such as Bach and Mozart, are showcased in this series of music performances at MEAM—a museum exhibiting some of the finest artwork in Barcelona. Located in the Born district, MEAM’s concert hall provides a unique setting in which to enjoy a drink and an evening of live music, and there’s also the chance to explore the museum itself.
