George Orwell’s 1984 takes place in a futuristic, dystopian world where citizens live under a strict government regime. The Escapade Theater’s adaptation of 1984 will draw parallels between the novel and the modern surveillance society. The Escapade Theater performs both comedies and tragedies, each designed with their own satirical spin. As with any of their plays, the performance group promises to leave the audience surprised, entertained and even provoked.
