Drawing on recent events that saw Telefonica shut down several of its computers in Madrid due to the WannaCry virus, TedxBarcelonaSalon instigates a discussion surrounding issues of cybernet fragility and security at its next event. The evening will begin with projections of previous Ted talks, featuring types of online attacks and everyday cybercrimes to introduce you to the world of cybernetics. Guest lecturer Deepak Daswani, cybersecurity expert from the multinational auditing and consulting company Deloitte and co-founder of Hackron, will then present his thoughts on life before and after the WannaCry virus. As usual, TedxBarcelonaSalon aims to promote networking and open discussion among the Tedx community, with a debate following the lecture and networking with drinks and tapas to close the event.

For 5 days from May 31st to June 4th, newcomer bands and professionals from the music industry will meet to debate the present and future of the world of music at Primavera Pro. Now in its eighth edition, Primavera Pro will feature a programme of workshops, conferences and showcases for industry experts. The general public will also be able to enjoy Primavera Pro’s free daytime stage, where emerging artists will perform from May 31st to June 2nd. Over these three days, more than 40 bands from around the world will perform at the CCCB, with highlights including Odina’s passionate folk music and a set by the Australian surf-punk band Skegss.

Come out to our panel discussion from People On The Grid by Katrina Logie. The second edition of this monthly interactive event is “The Grid Talks: Food Waste” where 4 different guest speakers from different fields will answer questions followed by a Q&A.

Major topics of discussion will include food waste in restaurants, grocery stores, private homes and cultural disciplines, schools and education, and the technology surrounding it. The night will end off with an opportunity to network. We will also be streaming the event through Facebook live! Entry is free and it is sure to be an interesting and informative event about one of the most important issues surrounding the food industry.
